About Laura
Laura Ann Gibson is an artist living and working in Ingleton, North yorkshire. She paints primarily in acrylics and watercolours, with most of her work being 'Fantasy Art'.
Laura is currently Illustrating for the new book by author Barbara Byford. Barbara's new book `Betrayal` is a follow up to `A Rose Can Bloom In Autumn` which is available from Amazon and Olympia Publishers.
Some of Laura's other recent pieces Alex and Hope were inspired by characters from the best selling novel 'On Another Level' by author Louise Rought.
Laura says
``My inspiration for my art work was being born and bred in a small fishing town on the west coast of Scotland. Surrounded by hills and beautiful countryside, nature comes to life when it rains and I love it. Every colour is enhanced. Through my love of drawing landscapes since childhood and watching fantasy movies like 'The Dark Crystal'. I have combined the love of these into my own style of painting.When I paint I have music in my head and in my heart and as long as I have that I am a HAPPY HIPPY. CHING CHING.``
